29/10/11 – Benefit Night For Steve Brown
Fresh from their recent appearances at the Birmingham International Jazz & Blues and the Colne R&B festivals, Rhythm & Groove Blues band, Forty4, will be performing on a benefit night in support of their Bass guitarist, Steve Brown, who is currently battling lung cancer and undergoing a lengthy course of gruelling treatment. Proceeds from the night will be used to benefit Steve & support The Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation. The band will be joined in Steve’s absence by Bill Price on Bass Guitar.
Also performing on the evening is special guest, ‘Blues Boy Dan’, performing his set of solo acoustic Blues numbers. Liverpool Marina is situated at Coburg Wharf, Sefton Street, Liverpool L3 4BP. Tickets for the night are £8.00, obtainable from Budjet Tyres & Exhausts, 330 Smithdown Road, Liverpool, L15 5AJ, Tel: 0151 735 1398 or Neil on 0774 818 2722 or John Welsh on 0151 428 2855.
The band are hoping for a good turnout at an evening which they hope will help Steve and his family during this difficult time.
For those unable to make the benefit night for Steve Brown but still want to donate to the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation, we have set up a donation page on the Just Giving website.
